Elite Fantasy League is the brand new craze around ice hockey in the UK. Providing added excitement to match nights, Elite Fantasy League provides hockey fans with the opportunity to pick their dream line up for British ice hockey (within reason!)
Created by an enthusiast with a self-professed obsession of ice hockey, Elite Fantasy League was piloted in 2010-11, for fun, amongst a group of hockey mad Cardiff Devils fans. The league became an instant hit. This was proven when a fan of the Devils of over 5 years, home and away, openly willed them not to score against the Steelers as the potential scorer was not in his team!
As the season progressed, Elite Fantasy League became a recurring theme of conversation (and ridicule for the bottom of the league fantasy teams!) on match nights. As interest grew, the question was asked whether Elite Fantasy League would be available for 2011-12…
So here we are. Available for just £5 per team with a share of £1,000 up for grabs, you can try to emulate the coach of your favourite team or… Who knows...? You may even do better than them!
